Minutes from the WPNS meeting

held at Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church

on June 6^th 2017

The President, Corleen Chesonis called the meeting to order at 8:05 pm.

Minutes of the previous meeting

Minutes were read. Ed Krivoniak raised the need to correct dates of PAN Show mentioned under New Business caption. Minutes were approved as corrected.

Treasurer's report

There was no Treasurer’s report.

Committee reports

There are no active committees at this time. Rich Crosby, serving as WPNS secretary had no written report but a statement that he regularly sent monthly meetings announcements.

Corleen Chesonis gave the President’s Report and spoke about membership, money and a very interesting programming our club had this past year. The written report is attached to the minutes.

Correspondence

Old business

There was no correspondence and old business to discuss.

New business

Ted Shiff asked if WPNS is a member of the History Center. Ed Krivoniak explained the current situation where the card for the WPNS is paid not by the Club but privately by Larry Dziubek, which was followed by a brief discussion whether to pay with WPNS money or not. No decision was reached.

Since the Club is the life member of ANA, Richard suggested to make a small donation to ANA to get the WPNS name “refreshed”. The motion was voted and passed with 10 votes for and 2 votes opposing.

WPNS archives: all but one box with the most valuable historical content in Matt Campbell possession, are stored by Tom Uram.

Since we did not form the Nominating Committee in time, Corleen suggested that the members present at this meeting act as the Nominating Committee and that we follow the tradition that all current officers are called to serve for the second term. The motion was voted and all officers were approved unanimously.

Next meeting falling on July 4^th will be moved to July 11^th pending the availability of the Church or it will be cancelled if venue is not available. Once known, Rich will notify the members.

Corleen passed the signup sheet for presentations to be delivered next season.

Rich Crosby called for ideas and suggestions for the WPNS Annual Banquet place and speaker. There were not suggestions yet.

Concluding of the meeting

The meeting was adjourned at 9:28 pm.

Present: There were 12 members and no guests present.
